How to Create a League on Sportivo

  1. Navigate to https://sportivo.app/admin/#/public/home

  2. Click "Log in"

  3. Click on the 'Organisation' dropdown on the left of your screen and click on 'Members'. Make sure that you are assigned as a 'Match Administrator'

  4. Click "Organisation"
  5. Click "members" 
  6. Click "Match Administrator"
  7. Click the add button next to your name.
  8. Click on the organisation dropdown.
  9. Click "Competitions" from the dropdown list.

  10. Click the plus sign at the top right of the screen.
  11. Type in the name that you would like to give the event.
  12. Click "League" as your event type.
  13. Choose your start date.
  14. Then choose your end date.
  15. Click the match confirmation rule dropdown and choose "Team Coach & Assistant/Manager - One Team Required."The Match Confirmation Rule refers to the way results are entered for league matches. By choosing the 'Team Coach & Assistant/Manager - One Team Required' rule, this means that the people that have been assigned as coaches, managers, or assistant coaches for the teams that are participating will have access to update results for their team's fixtures.

  16. Click 'Ok'. This will create your league event.

  17. Click on the league event you created. It needs to show that it has been selected.
  18. You will see that an additional toolbar will appear underneath the league you selected. Click on the plus sign at the top right of this toolbar. In this section, you will be creating a new event per age group/team level. This is depending on the structure of your league event.

  19. You will see that the name that you gave your league event will be showing under the description. You may change this to specify which age group/team level. Choose the sport code at the 'Sport' dropdown.
  20. Choose the gender, as well as the age group at the two dropdowns.
  21. Specify the periods per match, as well as the periods per minute.
  22. Click "OK".
  23. Click the three dots on the right hand side of the league you created.
  24. Click "Manage"
  25. Click "Group Stage" if there are pools in your league.
  26. Specify how many pools are participating in your league. The 2nd Leg tick box should only be clicked if your league structure is considered a 'round-robin'.
    If you would like our system to auto generate teams for you in your league structure, you can do this by selecting 'Auto assign teams when creating fixtures'.
    Please note that the system will not generate times and dates for these fixtures. It will only assign teams according to your structure.

  27. Click on the 'Points Rule' dropdown and select the appropriate points rule for your league.

  28. Click "UPDATE"
  29. On the right you will see the third toolbar which is for your team selection. Click on the pencil on the left of this toolbar.
  30. There will be a tick box on the top of this screen indicating 'Clubs/Schools'. Click that for a more refined view. You will see that you will be able to filter according to Club/School, Team, Age Group, etc. Select your teams by clicking on the tick box of each one. 
  31. Once you have selected all your teams, select "OK".
  32. Click on "Update" underneath the toolbar for team selection.

  33. At the top of the screen on the right, click the three dots.
  34. Click "CREATE GROUPS"
  35. Click on the "Groups" tab.
  36. Drag your teams into their designated pools. When you are done, click on "Update". This is very important.
  37. Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen.
  38. Click "CREATE STRUCTURE"
  39. Click on the "Group Stage Fixtures" tab.
  40. Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen.
  41. Click "DOWNLOAD FIXTURES"
    You will now be downloading the excel spreadsheet where you will create your fixtures and allocate their times, dates, and locations.

  42. When opening the Excel spreadsheet, you will see that there are columns marked in purple. Please do not edit those columns. You will only be editing the following columns: Match Date, Match Time, Match Location, Team 1 & Team 2.

    The Team 1 and Team 2 columns have dropdown's with the teams that you selected in the structure of your league. This will make assigning teams to fixtures much faster.

  43. Once your Excel spreadsheet is complete, please save the document to be uploaded to Sportivo.

  44. Navigate back to Sportivo.

  45. Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen.
  46. Click "UPLOAD FIXTURES"
  47. Click "Browse File"
  48. Choose the Excel spreadsheet document you have just saved to be uploaded.

  49. Click "UPLOAD"
  50. You will see that all of your fixtures will populate.

  51. As a league coordinator, you will need to add yourself as a Match Administrator to the League you have created. Navigate to the 'People' tab. Make sure to assign yourself as a match administrator to each of the leagues that you create.

  52. Click 'People'.
  53. Click "Match Administrator"
  54. Click "Available Match Administrator"
  55. Click the add button next to your name.
  56. This step is optional: You are also able to add resources to your league once it has been created in the 'resources' tab.

  57. Click the 'Resources' tab.
  58. The types of files that you are able to add are links, images, or pdf's. This could be emergency numbers, Google maps links, league rules, etc.
    You are almost done! The last step is to share the leagues when you have completed all of the above. This will allow spectators, coaches, managers, and players to follow the leagues.

  59. At the top of the screen you will see the title of your league, and to the left of it there will be an arrow indicating to go to the previous page. Click on that arrow.

  60. Click the arrow.
  61. This will take you back to the competitions page. Select the league event that you would like to share.

  62. Click on your League Event.
  63. Once you select it, the leagues you created will populate below.

  64. Notice that there will be an 'X' under the shared title at the top. This means that it is not shared.
  65. Click the three dots next to the league you would like to share.
  66. Click "Share"
  67. Notice that the 'X' will now change to a ' ü ' icon. This means that it is shared.
